i was wondering if acting/walking/dancing etc classes is necessary for singers? and are these practices an advantage. i prefer to watch singers who act naturally on stage, however, the 'natural' behavior might be a result of practice :D what do you think?

depends on the singer's genre... Celine Dion doesn't dance... she has dancers for her. But someone like Usher or Ciara should dance because of their hip-hop genre.
Rockers, they don't need to dance... they just need to know how to play their instrument.

well yeah, it depends on genre. pussycat dolls wouldn't be that popular if they'd just sang on a stage :D but let's take coldplay as an example. do you think a band like this need some acting practice before the first performance? i'm talking about simple acting on stage and not a rehearsal. i think new band could take some lessons in order to be more self-confident on stage :dunno:

How about The Who? british rockers from the 1960's/70's...
from smashing the stage to setting off explosions in hotels:D

Or how about L.A. girl band L7... naked on stage?;)
or dropping their jeans & knickers on british tv:shocked:

Coldplay did win the Brit Awards in 2006 for their album " X&Y " and had 2 uk #1's from the album... the general feeling towards life in britain is reflected by coldplay to a great extent.:cool:
