undies and her bra and whatnot, being that she's only 15 or so. The Vanity Fair
shoot was nothing compared to her personal pictures. |

I tend to agree with you, Vylune. The images are need even racy, much less
sexual. A teen in a bathing suit shows more.
You had Flipper, the TV show with Jessica Alba at 14 prancing about for half the
show in a bikini. No problem.
Miley has been photographed before in a bikini. Her Myspace images show more
than the Vanity Fair shoot. So, what is the big deal?
I think the 'scandal' has been engineered as a publicity stunt.
This is a Great Topical Forum and well started! The responses so far just go to
show Karls thoughts on some form of Media Stunt are in others minds, but from
where could such a thing start!
As stated Disney are Cleaner than Clean, maybe in this modern World they now may
be thinking differently as they do have the means and resources to get something
like this rolling whilst remaining un-connected themselves, it would make good
publicity in this now competitive open world!
This and connected photos are now all over the web and any vague Google search
will bring up related photos, so it is a job well done by who and for why? We
may never know, Miley may be able to enlighten us and her Parents, but somehow I
don't think that is going to happen!
Vylune here brings valid points on Parents being mis-guided on Promotion and
going along with things, however, this can unforunately be the short term view
of people grabbing the cash whilst in the limelight in our Modern advanced yet
throw away world!
I would also agree with the Myspace thing, hmm don't get me started lol! I view
Myspace in the same light as Ebay in attracting the masses yet in turn bringing
everyone's character under one average banner! You could have immense Character!
Superb Aims and Vast social caring Skills, but if you haven't got the easy click
background, glitter and pre-made add-ons well you just are not there lol!
With the Jessica Alba reference, from a Modeling point Aspiring models should go
check this link out:
I'm sure Karl and other Photographers would agree that this is true modeling
ability and well honed posing skills worthy of noting!

| Date: 2008-05-04 22:16 With a different twist on this topic yet still related:
I have recently questioned a new profile elsewhere that professes to be Selena
Gomez! The profile is showing links and chatting all day with other members,
particularly young impressionable girls, hence my concerns!
I am told that the profile seems ok as it shows genuine links (Ha Ha Means
Nothing) and I was refered to the fact that hey we also have Miley as member
here prior to her getting famous!
This posting does not relate to this site as such, but does just go to show that
the whole disney and wish to be famous thing should not distract you from what
is real and what is fake!
I would seriously question why a disney Star would have a bronze membership at a
free profiles site and have time to add 100 friends and chat back to them in
comments daily! The profile I speak of has been online most of today and still
now I note adding and commenting with all and no show of agent or parental
supervision regardless of being a 15yo Star! So please be careful if you go
elsewhere and see such things! |

somewhat puzzled by some of the shots. They look like fakes. But I have to
assume only the owner of the site could upload the pictures, so is she really
the owner?
Of the one Vanity Fair shot everyone's heard about or seen, I tend to agree with
Karl (Carib G), it's part of the process to move her into the realm of another
audience. The shot itself is rather demure, however. Her expression is not "come
hither" as I have read elsewhere, but sort of bemused--"see, I'm having fun with
the posing."
On the other hand, it is a traditional glamour shot. Done in Hollywood since
time began. The sheets are an implication, but the exposure is minimal.
Thousands of teenage models have posed in less, including Brooke, as mentioned
by Karl. And how old was she at the time of the Calvin Klein jeans ads--bare
back and tight jeans, wasn't it?
Miley Cyrus is a cute kid, but I see signs that she won't be as photogenic as
she ages, so they are probably making the dough while they can. It's all
marketing, baby.If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try! |

Quite right Kim! You can google and image search her under any combinations of
her name, whether saying sexy or rude or whatever and there simply are not any
photos arising that are unacceptable!
Publicity stunt, maybe due to any combination of things that have been stated
here!
Fly on the wall would be cool, that is the only way we are gonna know for sure! |

ID: 182744 Posts: 1529 | Date: 2008-05-06 22:41 She has only had one photo on her Myspace page for months. I believe you must
have found one or mor eof numerous myspace fan sites with her name. Those sites
have picked up the images dumped from her site after the earlier flesh scandal
(a few months ago before the Vanity Fair thing). My opinion has been that those
are professionally set self portrait shots.
A search under her former real name, Destiny Hope, brings up dozens of fan sites
including a Hannah Montana site where you can become a friend only if you know
Miley's last name. Big mystery there.
So far as I have know there is only one myspace site that she maintains as Miley
Cyrus. Now...she and her boyfriend on YouTube...that's quite another matter.
Busy little duo they are. Well, with over a hundred songs to her credit already,
I suppose she does have a lot of excess to spill over. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

| Date: 2008-05-07 18:04 Oh God everyone jumping on the Miley bandwaggon at the same time as she herself
and family may be just cashing in before the bubble bursts!
Wow this world has become so complex! So many juggling for position and the
quick buck over and above showing their true abilities and talents!
I have seen a mass of kids in recent months go and chat at profiles relating to
anything Disney and the scary thing is they assume all are genuine and accept
the comments and messages coming back as if the Mileys or Selenas are in actual
fact online 24/7 replying to them!
Highly unlikely yeah! Our whole new culture of media importance and the
discovery of stars via our saturday afternoon TV programmes kinda does give the
impresssion of possible stardom to many Aspiring Talents yes, but also for good
TV purposes also shows the 'Bathroom Hair Comb' singers and the like for ratings
at the expense and embrassement of those young impressionable people!
That I feel is wrong and gives the current TEEN generations the impression that
anything is possible and Stardom can be acheived through minimal input, skills
or life experiences!
Yes one in a million like Miley make it, yet just by this forum it shows that
maintaining character and earnings may be questionable for such stars in their
futures!
The whole disney thing as being a benchmark for new talents to aspire to I would
question, as breaking new ground and being different and new is always better
than folloeing the normal, so hey let there chosen Mileys and their fans do what
they want and be yourself as an individual talent! Think outside of boring
followers, let's face it, if others did not think that way we would all be
driving 1920s model T Fords and still be watching the original disney Bambi!
Be yourself and achieve through your networking and efforts and let the likes of
Miley find out their own mistakes lol

Those who do not know history are bound to repeat it.
Charles...How many dejavu's are we up to now since the dawn of the motion
picture age?
This generation has no monopoly on either that type of star behavior nor the
corporate exploitation. And do not forget...Disney has been there through the
entire development of the media market to what it is today. You could call
Disney one of the Great Grand Daddies of today's industry.
And hey...they beat out PT Barnum! Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

ID: 228723 Posts: 87 | Date: 2008-05-08 05:12 To me, these photos are publicized for the media's sake. In America, scandals
sell and how else to sell a scandal than to blow it out of proportion?? It's
pitiful that the media's recent job isn't informing us about the economy low,
progress on the war in the Middle East or any other important developing news.
When Paris Hilton had her DUI blues or Britney Spears shaved her head they
weren't put into the "By the way, in other unrelated news" report. It was the
Top News Headlines almost taking over more said important developments in the
world.
I believe Miley's tastefully, half-naked, photo to be more artistic than
pornographic. Even though she is still 15 and very young, she's in the middle
between child and adult. And only her back is showing. You can't even see a
string of glutinous maximus muscle in there. And the one with her father and her
(shock and horror) mid-section showing (oh noes! a belly button!!) is being
exaggerated as well. At least she's not showing off a belly button piercing...
By the way, I'm 21 years old. |
