Unverified Profiles Placing Blogs!

I notice that new members are able to place Blogs at Jurgita whilst still having unverified profiles!

I do not see this as a wise thing as it could encourage any number of fake people to add numerous blogs and never in fact become verified members!

From a safety online stance, particularly regarding Child safety (As I note some bloggers are Minors) may I suggest that Blogs are only accepted and published from verified members only, that way anything inappropriate could be linked to an actaul profile!

Thank you.

I don t seem to see what s the harm in it though i havent seen one yet

Well there is one there right this minute Kim! There may be others occasionally!

Why would you not see a problem in unverified people placing Blogs? Please tell me?

Surely from a Safety point someone should be verifed yes? You yourself reply at forums about Safety and Scams, so why have a different attitude here? I am interested to know!

Whilst at Blogs if you go across to the current events shown (Currently 3) two of these are from unverified profiles!

Now what if someone unverified advertised a fake event to encourage Kids, would that be acceptable Kim?

I am not saying that these are fake, I am just saying that all should be VERIFIED prior to being able to place BLOGS!

Thank you!

yeah but moderators are always searching so i think that they would know if something suspicious is going on but i don t think that unverified users can post blogs which are viewable ?????

Yes maybe so, but why take that risk, if it is something that could be adjusted?

I just logged out and checked Blogs & Events and yes as an outsider I can view them!

Oh i see one of the mods is bound to see this post to see if something can be done

That's true Kim, it's always good if we tell of things that we note I guess!

Well, moderators cannot affect, approve, disapprove or delete blog posts. That would be an administration issue.

I can disapprove a profile for improper content but cannot delete. An example is a lady who started a new profile this weekend and immediately posted blogs advertising herself as an escort. An honorable and acceptable profession and an option that is listed on Jurgita. However it is not acceptable when escort is used as a euphemism for prostitution. Her blog clearly was inviting sexual customers. It takes two moderators to agree with my position and interpretation of her post to remove her profile.

When you see a blog that violates Jurgita rules you should immediately use the "contact Us" link on the bottom of the page and send a ticket to the administration who will conduct an investigation and make a determination on that higher level.

Remember that verification is not a background check or identification check. It is a process by which moderators review new profiles to verify that the profile has been created or modified in conformation with Jurgita rules and policies. A verified profile can just as easily post something that violates rules. When caught, such violations are investigated.

Very well put, thank you! That does show that people will try that route still to advertising via the Blog system.

Do you think personally that a restriction on new member Blogs may dissuade some frauds/fakes and chancers from even thinking about joining? I'm sure it may ease the Moderation process somewhat.

Alexander:

I deleted your post with the link to the escort's blog and profile . On one hand your posts seem to act to protect minors from sexual exposure and then on the next hand you post the link to the blog in a forum not marked with "R" so that minors cannot view it.

I sent the profile to moderation and cast my rejection vote. However, that can be over ridden by two moderators voting to approve. Those moderators either may not have been aware of the content of the blog at the time they approved or did not perceive it as advertising anything illegal.

In the future, (for everyone, not just Alexander) rather than posting suspicious activities publicly where minors can view and be influenced by it, if a member does something you disagree with, using the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of each page is a faster, more efficient and confidential method of bringing things to Administration attention. Posting in a forum does not guarantee that something will be seen immediately by an administrator. Using "Contact Us" does.

Escort services are not illegal, and neither is advertising oneself as a sexy escort. Heck, prostitution itself is lawful in many countries, including parts of the United States. It is, however, against Jurgita policy.

Administration can best make the judgment as to whether or not an activity violates the rules and standards of Jurgita. It is best to make all complaints directly to them.

Wow ease off, Say thanx sometimes to others and not just justify yourself legally and jurgita! lol!

It is ok to be cool!

I'm not after your ass or that of jurgita I just like to make all sites and friends I know of aware of things! You and others have busy lives and sometimes these things can creep in the back door, so no probs let's be cool!

Great to know you grabbed that one!

I hope true Kim!

This lady still has blog and is in actual fact verified:
http://www.jurgita.com/blogs/maryescort/hello-would-you-like-taking-escort-servi ce-by-independent-escort-japanese-woman-1111.html

There should be no restriction on your viewing it as before the same applies it is open to all to view non members or members! Her page shows no jurgita link used and it just shows a way of showin her sexual page links in brackets!

Strange that someone earlier got told off in forum for showing a link to their site without link at jurgita page, yet this lady can do the opposite and it is ok lol!

omg it is true i just saw it
Kimberley :)

Nothing like a little advertising by a Jurgita member to bring her a little free advertising. Sheesh!

I love it when people dig, dig, dig for something and then broadcast it to the world.

In corporate America a boss would say something like: "Thank you for bringing this company matter to everyone's attention. By the way, you're fired."

You know...when a guy's fly is open one has two choices: Quietly whisper the matter into his ear, or just shout loudly to him because you believe that since you were staring at his zipper, everyone around must have already seen it too.

Use the contact button if it bothers you, Alexander. Admin will make a profile judgment based upon policies.

From now on 50 activity points will turn into 1 credit, so you may earn credits as easy as never before !!!

All models and photographers are able to moderate photos! We will save a lot of time for moderators this way. Please read the short instruction on how to moderate and earn points very quickly.
Also, models and photographers can moderate part of the profiles as well! This is a fast way to earn some action points and credits!
