I think that she is working it! Congrats to her.

Win or lose she is getting publicity. Publicity is the friend of all models.

She is also showing aspiring models that the cookie cutter mold can be broken. You just have to work hard, push yourself and your abilities and not worry about what people say. The only voice that matters is the one holding the pay check.

Win or lose I will bet that she is getting more telephone calls and offers than she knows what to do with. Heck, ABC news is paying attention to her!

Whoever is doing her PR needs to be commended.

I thinks its a great thing.

Maybe we can finally move on from the stick insect look which is still so common on the catwalks in europe.

If we can get more realistically sized girls up there, maybe we can start changing things.

No need to be harsh on the thin models! I think they look great & I'm not sick of them!
O.K. a plus model in the final... good luck to her now she's made it this far!
Bigger girls ain't my scene though, I'd never live it down if my mates saw me with a bird with a few extra pounds on her waistline! besides I have to be honest, it's not sexy!

I am very aware of the whole BBW and Plus Size Awareness thing, whether it be confidence in being happy with who you are! Forging a way ahead for Plus size Modeling or making clothing makers aware that not everyone in the world is size 10! I admire the advances in that!

People like you set us back decades and more so give a bad impression on Males attitudes if you are allowed to keep posting such things in a place that I consider advanced of you old fashioned male attitudes!

ALEX ALEXANDER!!! Thank you so much, so many people are stuck up to the point that they can't accept that some woman aren't born thin. Many women hurt themselves to be that way, well you basically said what needed to be said to Gary Young.. I just wish that more people felt the way you do about the advances of models like me. :)

That was cool of Gary to address that Mandy I gianed respect over that and his recent postings, so maybe jumping in and saying things don't always give the best view of us :(
I can be well guilty of that in response to some, being head strong!

On an upper note did you get those links at your other posting? Hope so!

Chloe Marshall has qualified for the Miss England contest, she is similarly 5ft10 and size 14 (UK) and at 16 (17 within the year as stipuated by Miss england) and seems to know her direction, so that is inspiring!
