why do people often think that they have to be fashionable in order to be stylish? do fashionable clothing without a touch of style look good? what looks better in your opinion: trendy dressed people or those that have their own style?

I think that often strong minded people show their own personality and who they are through their dress! Being Real!

Fashion and Fashion Trends do not take over everyone and often people have to be realistic about a Fashion Trend/Style or Colour not actually suiting them! I wish more would see that :cantlook:

Fashion can be incorporated into your everyday look without it taking over your personality! If a particular colour is the Fashion thing that Season it need not be worn as the main item, but could be included in accessorising your look or outfit to compliment it!

That is my view and hey obviously I gotta Fashion person on my shoulder during this subject, lol OUCH! It's a Family thing Fashion lol!

Also Fashion can never reflet your mood, so people will always dress according to mood regardless of Fashion, some may opt to brighten their mood and others may choose to remain in a particular mood lol! So Fashion, Individuals will be a question never answered vylune, the only thing i can say in simplistic terms is:

Style does remain timeless over Fashion and those realising a Style that looks stylish on them have more affect that those just wearing that Fashion of the year!

Now i shall shut up :D:(

Everyone has their own style, then there is the element of styles in the clothing itself, fashionable or not, but it can all come together or not? up to the wearer that one.
There's probally over a million different styles to choose from and only a handfull of them are in with the current fashion.
A lot of men still think fashion is more of a women's interest, and don't bother with it as such, however when the latest thing that's them comes out they're in it:dunno:
I myself like my jeans too much to give them up!;)
I never liked tracksuits or shell suits.

this happens because if you decide to buy a new pair of jeans you will find out that 90 percent of jeans in a stores are the latest model. then you can either buy the fashionable stuff or you can take some time and search for the ones you really need.

I have to amit I thought it was great fun ripping jeans to shreds:thumbup:
gives you a bit of a chill when the winter comes around again though:thumbup:
A girl I was with back in the early-mid 90's said pull a pair of leggins on, nobody will know the difference:cantlook: the thought "womens clothes-no way!" I did give them a go & the felt o.k. but I was feeling unsure about going out with these things on:doh:
I found out that's what a lot of the other male students had on under the ripped jeans in winter!:shocked::cantlook:
It felt weird wearing an article of female clothing but they kept the cold out in late november in Newcastle:D
Though I opted for wearing black jeans under the ripped blues instead:thumbup:

To me they both go hand in hand.

If you've got your style but lack a good sense of dressing, you'll not look good.

In order to define your style, you'll have to dress in a fashionable way.

You dont have to dress fashionable. I don't wear the newest jeans, I don't even buy name brand jeans, well they are but not like Levi's, or stuff like that. What makes Levi's or Guess jeans better then Wranglers? nothing, a name is the only reason they are more expensive, and I think my 20 follar jeans are more comfortable then my 90 dollar jeans.

Fashion is how you perceive things.

You might be right Vylune

But there are actually some people whose got their style but it isn't in a good sense. Its just their style of dressing.

There are some entertainers down here, they wear things a normal human wouldn't wear on a normal day, but they are not bothered because thats their style.
