For seven years, Bali Fashion Week has been the choice venue for Textile,
Garment, Accessory, Producer, Professional Designers and buyers from all over
the globe.
Under the careful guidance of the Country Steering Committee, Bali Fashion Week
VIII has tightened while at the same time expanded the selections, both
nationally and internationally presenting only the best Creativity, Artistry &
Quality for which this island is rightfully known.
Like last year we have hundreds of media to cover the event from indonesia,
namely Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Metro TV, Esquire, Media Indonesia, Okezone SPICE
etc. And Also media coverages from foreign media : collezioni - italy, Fashion
TV - France, International Textile - UK, Australian Retail Apparel, WGSN - USA,
Couture Asia- India, WFD - China, Marie Claire - Hongkong, etc. Showing media is
favourite place is unshakeable, like the Global Tourism Award has again
appointed Bali to be the best Island to visit.
This year, with our Bali Fashion Week 2008 concept which is "Natura Karma" a
form of awareness of the mother nature, the earth as our inspiration, and spread
the news that the Indonesian are aware with our nature and the global warming
effect within the media promotion.
Bali Fashion week has picked Selphie Bong as one of top 15 Emerging Indonesian
Designer and has corporate with a big company such as UBS bank, Pertamina, and
Unilever, to support a show called ECO - Green at Four Season Hotel Jakarta last
3rd of March 2008 and Green Fest at Istora Senayan 18 - 20 April 2008 again to
promote the awareness in global warming. As one of young designer born by Bali
Fashion Week in 2007, Selphie Brought Bali Fashion Week name one step
internationally ahead, by promoting Bali Fashion Week and her previous sponsor,
such as ADRM dua sekawan batik to London Fashion Week. |
