As many of you have seen recently, Im new to Jurgita, not as a member but new to participating in the discussions on the forums.

After viewing this website and the forums I have come to a conclusion. When people, male and female, ask if they are model material a majority of you give basically say, "Wow, your hot, you would be a great model, etc..." But in truth if you were to look at that persons stats, experience, and photos, they actually might not stand a chance.

I have been modeling for almost 3 years, I have lived in Paris, Milan, and New York, and I have learned TONS of information about what it takes and what is needed to succeed in this Fashion Industry. Im not saying I know everything that there is to know about modeling, but a good portion thus far. Also Im no expert on all the types of categories of modeling out there, but if I know, I will reply or try to help guide you somehow.

Now I can guess that many of you will not like me for what I reply to you, but just remember Im here trying to help you by giving my opinion. Believe me, I know what its like out there, I know what agents and agencies look for in men and women, and by looking at your stats and pictures I can give you a fair reply.

Please dont let my opinion stop you, as Im not an expert or agent working for an agency. If you are looking for real answers on whether or not your model material, then go to an agency and find out first hand.

Thank you, Thank you, Ill be here all week...jk;)

My name is Blake DuPree and Im here to help.

what do you think.. do I have any change ?
* Love the Life* :thumbup:

There's no harm encouraging new aspiring model talent to move forward, if no new faces come up the industry would just fade away, I have a valid point there:thumbup:
You are right when you say the majority won't stand a chance as it's only one in so many that will actually make it & the rest will just disappear, but even established models shouldn't boast about being successful as it can slip away from right under their feet at any moment, it's a short career in a fast moving industry.

I'm no where near model material, and that's something I won't lie about:thumbup:

Português é tão interessante flamboyant um idioma, melhor adaptadas à medida que descreve as coisas agradáveis na vida, como os brasileiros fazem. Você concorda?

If Iceland's not got many agengies, what about UK agencies?
might be a better chance of finding an agency:dunno:
I'm trying to remember if Iceland's part of the EU or not?
:cool:

Selma, how are you? Sorry its taken me forever to reply but Im just trying to stay busy busy busy... Dont under estimate height in this business, its very very important. And being 5'10 opens a few doors already. Your pictures are ok, but I think you should just take some very simple polaroid shots of yourself and post them. Because sometimes its difficult to say whether or not a person looks good in a photo because they might think they know how to act but really they dont. Dont worry, Im not saying this about you. I actually have a friend how lives in Iceland and he travel alot to Milan and Paris for the fashion shows. So what I think you should do is, have some simple polaroid shots taken of yourself and then try and find a local agency. THis is sometimes a hard part for some people because they might live far from one. Well good luck with what I told you and I hope it has helped you out somewhat.
