that Black people are voting for Obama just because he is Black. Dont get me

curious if you are voting for the policies and morals he stands for, or just for
his color.
Dont get me wrong, as Libby said, it would be an AMAZING achievement to see him
win. It'll show the progress of the American people. Its just when I ask people,
" Who does Obama stand for, Republicans or the Democratic Party?" and people
just dont know. |

the republicans are finished with 8 years of the Bush administration, Obama is
concerned with what's going on in his home country - america
which is best for the average american, where on the other hand McCain wants to
copy Bush & spend more time on what's happening 10000 miles away!

LANDSLIDE
In actual fact, the hardest audience that Senator Obama had to convince, early
in his campaign, were black people. Most blacks will not vote for a candidate
simply because he is black. Do a search of the news two years ago. Obama had a
very hard time convincing blacks that he was a suitable candidate. They wanted
to know his issues, what he stood for and basically "Who the heck does he think
he is?".
His attitude, personality and politics convinced a large number of blacks that
he would be a better candidate than Senator Hillary Clinton. He did not convince
all.
To tell the truth, I find it insulting and demeaning to have me and my fellow
racial colleagues accused by the media of voting for Obama because he is black.
Basically, that is calling all blacks racist, something which, as a whole, we
are not.
In fact, in my discussions with other people like me, Obama's race has never
come up. and we have had healthy arguments, pro and con, regarding his policies
and political decisions.
So, please do not assume that because some of us are black and support Senator
Obama that it is simply because of race. You might as well be straight forward
and call us racists so that we can honor such simplistic assumptions with a
curative cross burning.
