This Site is a valuable source of articles and information relevant to the industry, but it's becoming increasing difficult to find useful and helpful Forum Posts, as they are being lost amongst the meaningless messages being posted. I suspect this is partly down to people posting just for the sake of scoring credits, which I believe has also contributed to pointless arguing and insults being traded between members. If people stopped to think "could this Post actually be helpful to other members?" before they started typing rubbish, we wouldn't have half as much garbage to wade through to get to the good stuff!

Quite agreed, with the negative discussions.
There a some petty nits going on & cut throat activity, which is absolutely demeaning to the whole process of being able to use this site to helpful advancements in seeking a career or professional hobby, etc.
I would like to see improvement of attitudes...:cool:

BTW:. 50 credit systems is a good allowance to those who will NOT abuse the privilege of earning credits for purpose of promoting portfolio.
This part is NOT the problem, however, just a helpful perk, & well thought out by administration.

And once again we see that any good thing for someone can be bad someone else. There are many people that cannot buy credits and cannot contact other members, so we have made it easier to earn credits. Now we see there are people who damage the system, but taking off this system would damage someone else. So there will always be an unhappy part and sometimes its quite hard to find the best compromise.
However in this case admins are discussing a one new option "voting for topics and posts" that would make the useful topics more visible than the ones have no votes. I do not know how the discussion evolves, but surely hope we will be able to see the voting system and separate useful topics from the rubbish.

Thanks for that update, I'm pleased to note you have spotted this problem and are looking for a better solution. Anything which cuts down the frankly pointless posts would benefit everyone looking for serious and genuine career advice, which I believe is the main aim of the site.

I think by voting it would be much better.
Each post made to forum would be able to be voted for and the ones with the highest votes will stay on forum topics and the others should be deleted.
