I took these last week. My friend started a clothing design company last yeat and is now selling her product from her home. She asked me to take photos from her lineups. So here we go. Please dont critisize to bad. This is really my first attempt at phtographing people as the main subject.

lets try this again. Pics were too big.

and the other one.

Nice image David but I feel that you could have done better with the backgrounds - i.e. in choosing more contrasting & complementary colours. Just feel that the dress kind of merge into the background too much rather than stand out.
Hope this helps and keep up the good work.

I love the pics but the first one the model with the hat on has her face hidden
Kimberley :)

haha yes Kim. It took a lot of enticing to have kristen even be in the pictures!!

oh ic but your second pic really turned out well

I liked the second photo a lot, but I agree with the above comment, I would have used the max aperture possible cuz the background is quite distracting, that and a reflector to bounce some light back into the shadows to the left of the photo, then again that's just being picky.
The model is beautiful by the way.
Keep up the good work.

Not the best of my photoshop skills showing, but it gives u a general idea ;)

Very cool. I see what you mean though. It really make her "pop" a lot more.

Thanks Kim!

I am glad to see that you finally got round to posting some images that are model related and not rodeos.

I think the first image is too cheesy. The big smiles are too big. The model on the left, definitely you need to work with her more, she outshines the other model by far imo. Both are nice looking but work with the short girl more and you will get some stunning images.

The image against the tree is alright. Like others have said get your dof down. Good use of shadows and diffused light though. The pose is a little amateur, but I assume that this was her first shoot. You probably need to guide them a bit more.

Nice pictures, but U can better. Anyway U have nice models, and a great view;)
:lips::saint::lips:

You do need to watch the background. Don't be afraid of directing the models. Chin slightly up would have improved the first shot for girl in hat.

When it is for commercial purposes, the models are there to show the product off. You can create a theme, like sports wear or summer wear on the farm, but you still have to get as much of the product on display as possible. The adjustment to the second shot made it more a "catalog" shot and that is what you should be going for.
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!
