I recently started looking at foreign dating & marriage online & found a whole world of new oppertunity to maybe find someone right for me, not happened yet but like anything takes time:thumbup:

What's everyones opinion of dating someone from another country and would you consider it yourself?:dunno:

well... depends on the country. For me, the direct opposite of my country is Japan...And i ended up dating a Japanese guy while i'm here and found out i like Americans better.

If you date someone closer to home (given that you're in Europe, it shouldn't be so hard) then it probably would be interesting. Personally, i'm not for internet dating. I've tried it a bit and it never really worked out. Meeting them in person for the first time is much better than seeing their picture online. At least since i'm a woman, i can get whether he's a creep or not when i see him eye to eye the first time, instead of being cautious and wary when i'm setting up a date with a guy i've never even seen.

I guess being male is different. You don't have to worry about a girl sneaking a date rape pill in your beer. :cantlook:

Wrong ! Though for different reasons, but it is quite common. The guy is not raped, at least usually, but he wakes up without money in the pockets and credit cards. Quite common "treat" for people that come to pick up girls in some bars.
Generally, foreign dating will happen more and more becouse world is getting smaller.

One thing's sure though... don't try for african girls, your chances are 99 out of 100 you contact will be scammers!:thumbup:

There are enough russian scammers as well, though it is different market. Just do not send the money before seeing girl at least ;)

hi, i think it is good idea if you don't fall in love with chosen girl till you meet her personally. I made this mistake and now I'm more careful but haven't stopped looking for a dream girl in internet.There is lots of wonderful girls around the world which you can't meet in other way than just only in internet.

The only come face to face with Russian scammer in the online dating & marriage scams myself, though I've had another 2 african scams turning up in my googlemail spam box today, not that they'll have any luck with me:lol:

When you've had 1 or just 2 dealings african scam senarios all look the same but the Russian scammers are very, very good at it & can be harder to spot the scams,
I've been trying to meet Russian women through dating sites for the past 2 years & still trying, I've had 4 scammers, it does make you more cautious every time you come across one but I have a very good idea what the current scam senarios in use are but tomorrow, next week or next month there will be something new fron the Russian scammers, but the african scammers will be up to the same old tricks:doh:

Africa is currently sending tsunami of scam & spam at the moment for some reason...
I found out from somewhere that the UK alone had recieved over 20gb of e-mails from IP addresses registered in either senegal or nigeria in the last 2 weeks!

I think you should take advantage of your position in the world and get out there and tour a bit of Europe. We already know that the majority of Europe, no matter the country, already speaks English (many surprisingly well), so you should tour around a bit and see if you find someone!

Online dating to me just makes it seem more like a catalog. You browse through profiles, deciding whether she's "date-able" based on the person's good/bad points... and then make a deal. It just doesn't seem right... something's lacking. You need sometime you can touch and not on the screen.

that is one pleasure I have yet to look forward to.........love accents that are not australian or new zealanders............not that I have anything against either.....just be nice to hear accents.........:)

Foreign dating, relationship&marriage is not impossible but I think it is hard. Beauty is not enough for marriage. You should know her character.
I think, Russian, Japan(geisha) and muslim women are ideal for marriage(but yo can not marry with a muslim woman without be muslim. anyway...) These women are loyal to her husbands. Also they are good in the kitchen, I think.
But in spite of everthings, the best way is to marriage in your country.

I know a guy that's married to a Pakistani woman, she is muslim but he's not... he's not even religious & they get on fine.
There's a lot of "british asians" that disregard their religion these days & the majority that do worship are very relaxed about it:thumbup:

However... from what I've seen so far love is stronger than religion anyway:thumbup:

I can travel:thumbup:
But it's a good idea totake the time to get to know the person you're chatting with before meeting them, I'm not meaning waiting too long before meeting but at least have around 2 months communication before meeting:thumbup:

If I was going out to meet someone I will have been chatting online with her for at least 9 to 10 weeks first, but usually a little longer:thumbup:

All I need to do now is find someone:thumbup:
