Something just occured to me. Or should i say i argued it with a friend. She made me believe its not possible to have a male as a friend, like a platonic relationship. I never agreed anyway because i have friends, like three of them and infact most of them are guys and i've got nothing with them. Just a normal friend.

Is normal to have any kind of friends. Is not important the sex,religion or sexual orientation, is important this person to be a real friend for U, to help when U need or give U good advices when U are in a dilemma:thumbup:

Definitely possible. Infact if you get involved sexually with a freind it usually ends the relationship on some level.

Thats what i beleive as well. But there are some people that think they know best. Even when they heard you have a male as a friend, the first thing that comes to their mind is, they into a serious relationship.

In the end who really cares what anyone else thinks? You have good fiends, Then thats all you need. What difference does their gender make?

As you grow older you will discover it doesn't matter whether your friends are male or female. You will have both. Most people (as they age) are just thankful for true friendship....

Yes that is true.

It doesn't matter what our friends gender are but what matter is to have gret friends who are really worthy to be called one.

Sure it should be that way. I wouldn't expect a guy to have more male friends though some actually do in the real sense.

What i've come to understand is that, going closer to the opposite sex will give you more knowledge on their kind and also give you teh chance to see how they react to some situations and its being taken care of.

Its like an avenue of knowledge

Most of my friends are boys =] My two best friends are boys though one is gay... so I suppose he doesnt count XD But I love having guy friends! Girls are fun and everything but we are waay too bitchy and gossipy to deal with sometimes =]

Yea, i'll agree with that. Thought girls are loving and beautiful to chat with sometimes but I'm not always comfortable with them. Though i have few as friends, but not best friend. My best friend is a male

It is impossible to make a generalisation in this case.

There are some men who are truly able to be just friends with a woman. They are in the minority though.
I partly agree with Carib Goodies that most men who says they are seeking friendship is secretly holding out for more.
Looking at my male friend, and their long term friendships, I would say that about 1 in 10 of them are able to build on a long lasting friendship with a woman.
The other 90% does have women friends, but most of them are usualle ex'ss (not sure how you spell that one!) or potential relationship material.

I have a lot of female friends - but then, a few years ago - I married my best friend!:D

i have alot of male friends than girls... i think most girls around my age, in my area, turn out to be rude, untrustworthy people & i have a hard time looking for female friends. i only have a few female friends that i can trust & talk to & my sister. lol. & it is possible to be only friends with guys & nothing more.

Throughout most people's lives they have two or three people that are true friends-- regardless of gender. I mean real friends that would do/offer anything you need without being asked, without stipulations or conditions... they are far and few. If you have even one friend like this, consider yourself truly blessed.
