Subject: What hair styles do you think are best for 30 and older women?
Im a stylist, but usually that age women are not very happy about my creative ideas, i would like to hear some suggestions.

Older women will always go with something that makes them feel comfortable, Express your ideas with them - their always willing to meet half way

You never met my former hairdressser (20 years back)...She was several years older than me at the time, & from California, & she was a Modern up-to-the-minute 7th day hair adventurist!:D
Talk about open minded & easy going...Too bad I relocated out of state!

take pictures of your work everytime you do someone's hair then show thse pics to future woman so they know wut to expect

If my photographer/client doesn't provide any hair stylish or makeup artist, I have do all the things alone. But, I still prefer makeup & hair stylish work, becoz more professional & look better than I did.

This is so dependant on the models appearance! But if it is to over come a bad hair day or period for that matter! Well braiding wins every time lol!
It overcomes a multitude of sins as we say in the UK!

Enc: One of my Talented European friends loves to braid & here is an example she did for a friend!

Not bad for a white gal huh lol! (I am re-posting this as I put the wrong pic in error last time - Too much Beer I think lol)

As a Hair stylist you should try to listen to what the person conserned wants. As you said older women are conservative so dont get too creative on them just give them what makes them look good. As for younger girls you can express your creativity.

its not like guys that want to get a hair cut, if you cut it wrong the hair cant grow back instantly so as a barber or male stylist you loose a customer.
