My sister uses a crayon thing, think it's silicone wax based, covers up her
tattooes when she goes to work as she got into bother for them, she applies
foundation on top of it too & nothing's visible
A scar's different though, if the scar looks as deep as the grand canyon it's
how to fill it
One thing I can suggest is anti-age creams, garnier ones work well - makes my
aunt look 10 to 15 years younger & she's 49!
What they would do is raise the skin in the scarred areas a little & the
foundation would cut the visibility of them better
Gary is right, and alot of make-up on your color skin |

lotion on your legs prior to applying the foundation. I usually use creams...
but since you're doing a photo shoot the light will be more reflective so maybe
powder would be best. I think iy would be best to experiment with the
foundations you already own and see what you like best.
If it still doesn't come out right, hopefully your photographer can use
photoshop to edit the photo digitally. If not... I can! :-D |

I am not an MUA, but I did spend time as a funeral director and embalmer.
Because some people may have just eaten, I won't describe the make up jobs we
had to do to make war, accident and murder victims presentable to their
families.
One thing we had to know before starting any make up job: What type of damage
are we covering up and to what extent.
We have no idea what your scars are. You want to treat a depression differently
than a flat dermal discoloration than a keloid.
Your complexion, looking at your photos, also seems to be one for which there
are few color matches to blend. Could your cover-up problem be originating
there?
If I know what your scarring is, the extent, and the exact locations I could
likely refer you to products and options used in my former profession and at the
top of the make-up industry that your average MUA or cosmetologist either does
not know of or does not use because the cost is slightly higher.
There are also techniques, tools and methods used at the top of the industry
available to you if you want to go through that expense and that trouble.
Airbrushing, prosthetic forms (yes...like the Mission Impossible masks),
shadowing techniques, temporary dermatological treatments, etc.
Oh...and a huge no-no...sun exposure highlights scars. Scar tissue has less
melanin in it than the epidermis. It will not darken at the same rate. Hence
your scars will contrast more against your skin. (Unless they are already
darker, of course!) Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

Most people might think its a minor scar while it might be more than that.Since
they are not seeing it or where is is located, accurate response cannot be given
on that
Good luck

Miko's suggestion is good about using photoshop if whatever makeup doesn't turn
out good. I hope you told or showed your photographer your scars. It's only fair
to them. I had shock of my life with a model showing up for a shoot with legs
with hundreds of spots (no makeup to cover too!). As much as I things to be more
natural and thus don't want to do so much photoshop, but photoshop does save the
day. |
