| Date: 2008-10-11 17:57 hey, i'm 17 and really interested in becoming a successful model. i don't have
that much experience though. i'm in sydney, so could anyone let me know which
agencies are good/ not that good to apply for if i'm not that experienced.. (or
does that not matter ?)
people tell me my height is an issue.. but i'm only interested in doing shoots
for print, not so much runway..
a few people such as audrey kitching, hanna beth and the like have promoted
themselves on myspace and buzznet (search them if you have not heard of them) -
i'm thinking of that way for me cause i have similar style and look as them.
hanna beths myspace:
myspace.com/loveandconfusion
mine:
myspace.com/lovepeaceandgratitude
i basically just want to know which way would be most respectable if an agency
is looking for a model..
also, any experience that you guys have had with past agencies would be of great
help also.
thank you |

get any work. Pound the pavement--contact magazine companies, advertising
agencies etc.. You'll probably get great results. That's what I do.
Your height is an issue only if your trying to do fashion. Yip, I am a shorty
too. You would make a great commercial model.

said, you need to pound the pavement and do some research. You can do the
myspace thing but it is going to be hard to stand out since everyone is doing it
also. You should also put together a physical portfolio/book and put
professional photos in it - not what you have here. |

do some TFP/CD shoots, and build a portfolio, it makes you more prepared to go
to the agency. |
