ppl...feel free to comment..!!thanks..

most of the pictures on the profile are new..!!!:)

You are blowing out the high lights in your pictures. You may want to try and bring the contrast down a notch.

The fourth on in your portfolio looks to be shot at a weird angle.

The poses are good in general, but the cropping can be a little better. I generally like a closer crop.

i love this one. your expression is amazing

thanks Kar!! i though the same when i first saw that picture. it must be changed..:)

thanks a lot Dovile, thats one of my favorite!! :)

The newer picture is better. But I think it can be cropped in closer. Something along the lines of your default picture.

Nice pictures!

I do like the the shots. They are to blown out in my opinion. If you can redo them with less contrast they would be great.
 Cheers

Thanks Gary. When trying to show the idea for the model, I will do a litle touch up and repost it back in his forum. I do not keep copies of the image or try to pass of the image as my own work, only to give an idea of what I think should be done. This does fall into the rules of use for copyright material here in Canada.

Canadian law? when did Canada gain the rotating presidency of the European Union?
Gary has got a valid point, more so in the other topic about this subject!!
:saint:

Mellisa the image that I copied and reposted was an example of what myself and others had advised. I in no way tried to claim ownership or to get credit for the image. What was just done would fall into the same catagory as you taking a picture off the internet to your photographer and saying I want to do this shot. It falls into the "free use" catagory of copyrighted material. By Usman Ahmad posting the pics here and asking for coments and critique he has given tactic permission for the members in the post to use the photograph.

As I said in my post under the copyright topic, I also make a living off my images. I aslo do not have a problem with the use of my images for "teaching" or showing me what someone thinks.

You will also note the the model who started this post is also from Canada. It is assumed that he to is aware of the "free Use" section of copright lay in Canada and the US

Hey everyone....i was away for a while...didn't realize what was going on here....
Terence Dunn
Thanks for the idea...of making the contrast a bit low.....as far as the copyright issue.. is concerned... this is the first time...i have ever seen someone on this website applying changes to others work...I personally don't mind it, just because its the first time it has happened to me.......
the picture is my own work...taken by me...so...i don't mind it.....but it would be appreciated...next time..you ask the model first before applying changes to it..!!! thanks..

and i thank everyone for there opinions.

I decieded to put my money where my mouth was and contacted a lawyer I have used for copyright issues in the past. Here is his reply. As this is also pertinant to another post "http://www.jurgita.com/forum/topic-3408 " I hope that I can be forgiven for posting it in that one as well.

At your request I have looked at the posting by Mr Usman Ahmad http://www.jurgita.com/forum/topic-3404. I have also looked at some of the other forums and threads and here is my opinion in respect to possible copyright infringement.

The Website www.jurgita.com is a place where professionals of the modeling industry gather to exchange information, discuss ideas, opinions and to share information in a way that will further the interests of it’s members. In short to be a place of learning.

When the copyright holder or his representative posts a picture to a forum asking for comments or feedback, the copyright holder is giving tacit permission for the image to be used by posters of said forum for the purpose of explaining the point you are trying to make. The image may not be posted outside of the forum that it was originally posted in, and still remains the property of the copyright holder. The use of the image fall under the provision of “Fair Use” for the purpose of criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research in copyright law, and this form of free use is recognized internationally. What you have done in this case is to express your opinion and to illustrate using Mr. Ahmad’s photograph what you are saying

While cases have been brought against people for illegal use of copyrighted material for doing as you did with Mr. Ahmad’s photograph, not one to my knowledge has been successfully prosecuted worldwide. As this site is a place of learning, if the copyright holder of an image does not want to have the image modified for educational purpose, they must state in their post that the image my not be copied or modified.

If you find yourself censured by the administration of www.jurgita.com as Ms. Robertson has suggested, contact me immediately. Censure in this case would mean that the administration is accusing you of the improper use of copyrighted materials, which would be damaging to both your professional and personal reputation, and as such is defamation of character for which you would be entitled to compensation. Cases of this type have been successfully prosecuted worldwide with the damages awarded being enough force the website and it’s owners into insolventsey.

Feel free to contact me if you have further questions.
 Cheers

The lighting is not proper. Even the contrast...........

With this lighting the background has to be darker.
