How do you manage to attend auditions at distant places?

You have already posted this question under a different heading in forums!

I do not travel any more than 2 hours. Neither should you!
Most of the time they want locals anyway.

Depends, Cherri. You go for short-term jobs. There are different markets where far longer trip might be feasible. For example, we make casting calls for foreign scouts. Some girls have to travel for 3 hours to get to get to the casting ,as we can not do these in all the cities. Model has a good chance to get picked for travel to foreign agency and work there for couple of months with expenses paid.
That does not mean you have to go to all auditions. You have to estimate your chances and potential benefits always. If you are serious about modeling, have good data, you might want to move to bigger city and find a job/studying location there. This would reduce travel time and you will be able to attend more auditions.

I have exactly the same problem :( As i see it's almost impossible to get a real offer via internet... so... only the one option is left - move to your target city/country.

So, so right. That is exactly why we are moving to LA. There really is no market where I live. When/if you get really serious~ then it will probably be time to move.

that's a tough thing to do. because you could travel and no results comes out of it but sometimes taking the risk gets good results!
