Messed Up Voting/rewards System

Lately I have been moderating profiles and photos and instead of earning points they have been subtracting them drastically. I made sure I didn't overlook anything or make any mistakes but some of these profiles were clearly showing false and sometimes impossible measurements and several pictures should have been rated 'R' when they only showed 'general", just for example. I brought this to the administration's attention but all they did was just brushing it off and told me they would have voted the other way on some of them.
Well it seemed more like someone rolled the dice :upset: on the rewards/point system of the moderation process.
I just sent another email to them with the proof of this suspicion. I rejected a profile that had given 38" for all measurements ( it doesn't get any clearer!!! ) just to find out that they subtracted 10 points for that from my account. I probably have lost about a credit worth of points so far for this messed up reward system that would have earned me an upgrade by now!:upset:

Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Hello,
we know about this problem, and we are working on a solutions right now, that is updated moderation system. As it will come with some other larger scale changes, do not expect the release soon :) First it will be tested on other projects of ours.
The fastest fix would be allowing members with not exactly correct measurements be approved, that is removing that reason altogether.
Alternatively, we could disable the penalty, however that would encourage cheaters that approve just about everyone.

Thanks for the quick response, guess i'll be more careful.
People can always doubt what you say, but they can't doubt what you do.

When I moderate right I lose points a lot, some of the other models on here just approve for points and I lose points because of them!
but try telling them to moderate right is like banging your head on the wall:doh:

Example : a new model bust 24/waist14/hips 26 at 5'10" there is no way I would approve! though there are some around on the site that will pass it for the points!
they must realise the stats are wrong but obviously dont care!
:saint:

For sure theres a problem.
For example if I am moderating some profiles and I see there some wrong measurements or a very low quality photo I just dont vote, coz I know I will loose point :dunno:

Well, if I you tell me to approve all the the profiles anyway to avoid being penalized for voting right instead of rejecting some, then you can also just as well disable the penalty until you can fix this problem, that about would be the same difference:doh:;) - what about the pictures, if I change them to be rated R or send a profile to moderation because the pics need moderation, do I get a penalty for that also? I have seen a lot of them being put in the general category when they definitely should have been getting an 'R' rating!:cantlook: or why not disable moderation at all and have the web-managers do it themselves until this is fixed otherwise you will have a lot of errors or wrong profiles out there - no sense in that!:endecided:

Hello Bjorn;
This is a topic which comes up time and again. I used to reject profiles and photos and lost a lot of points. I think most of us has. One way i've kept it down is to either skip the bad profiles and send them a message that I was unable to moderate their profile because their info was incorrect and they should fix it, or I approve it if it is something minor and send them a message to check the info and make the necessary corrections. In almost every instance I've received a reply and the corrections were quickly made. The ones that I almost always skip with bad info.are the one's that have no "contact" button on the profile. Photos are easy, if they are not classified correctly, you make the correction.
There are too many people approving everything that comes up and we all end up paying. Although I wouldn't qualify either, I think you should be on the site for a year before your able to moderate. I think it would cut down on point loss considerably. OR have some type of test to prove you know what your looking or and why. I think approving everything has to so with not knowing what your doing. A test would cut a lot of that out.

The problem is that one is getting penalized for moderating right if they reject it, or in other words, if they abide by their own policy here. So they just have to fix this otherwise this whole idea just does not work. Someone seems to review the moderation anyways to make sure you did it right or not, so why don't they just do it themselves to begin with???
This entire system just seems to have bugs in it if it cannot distinguish right from wrong moderation. I just wonder why it is so hard to fix this system or put it into work to begin with if it is faulty. They should put a warning on there to tell people not to reject anything because they will lose points this way.
I mean the moderation process is not rocket science, it is all explained right there on the webpage, so all one has to do is to read the instructions and follow them.

If the stats are clearly wrong, approving the profile is NOT the answer. Either reject it and be prepared tp loose the points or, simply INGORE the profile. If every one ignores it, it will sit there until admin gets to it. As long as memebrs are approving anything just for points, there is no point in complaing about this.:dunno: Complaining will not fix the problem. So, simply ignore those profiles.
Like several concerned members, when I see improper stats or unsuitable images on an approved profile, I contact the member and reques the matter be corrected. Most members comply. :) When they don't and the transgression is severe enough (like a member posting copywrited images as their own), then I report them to admin.
Why do we struggle to paddle upstream while the river is taking us where we need to go?

2 reasons.
1. To give ability to earn (more) points for members that can not pay.
2. To make work easier for our support team.
It is not obligatory to moderate profiles. You can stay on jurgita and not moderate them if you want.
I think it is best that you would report these profiles using ticket system. In some cases we will fix the data and/or approve/reject profile. We can fix the data when, for example, person entered his/her weight in kilos instead of pounds or pounds instead of Kilos. This happens a lot.

Personally I think the problem is too many people on here are not in for the business side of it but looking to join the flirt zone. If they are not a model or semi professional I normally do not look at the measurements, because they are not here for modeling they are here for the other side of the site. And if they are on here as an observer I do not care what their measurements are.
