I Want To Help Models But I Am Not Sure How!

Hi All.

I like shooting portraits and models. And I do it most of the time for fun. Some of those photos can help young and new models start their careers by including the photos in their profiles.

But I have no idea how can I offer my services to them. How can I inform interested models that there is a photographer who is willing to help them for free?

Posting to this forum is a good start. The other option is to contact local members, which can be identified through the search function, and make the offer directly. Keep in mind that some models would be hesitant to work with someone that is not refered to them from a trusted source. Several bad apples have made people less trusting ..:upset:
Why do we struggle to paddle upstream while the river is taking us where we need to go?

well i need to have photos taken are you any where near montreal? lol. let me know thanks.

Mr. Leonard gives good advice here. To ease their fear of getting the creepy photographer, you might suggest that they bring a chaperone, meet in a public place or something like that. You might also put a resume up on your profile, even if it doesn't include much photography, just because it can give them a sense of who you are.

Thanks for your replies and advice guys.

And Carolyn Cook, unfortunately I am nowhere near Montreal.

I am actually in Dubai.

Well the best way to get work is to display relevant examples of your work in your portfolio. Models are less likely to believe that you "shoot models most of the time for fun" if you dont have any model pics in your portfolio. Good work in your port leads to more work and better models. It's self perpetuating.

I have seen several models from the UAE. You may want to contact them for a start. Offer TFP (trade for pictures) or TFCD (trade for compact disk) and see what happens. Most of the older members may post on the scammer thread, which we can post a note to. Best of luck to ya.
