| Date: 2007-01-20 01:30 for a 8 year old child she could have a fun little get together with her friends
and dress up as their favourite cartoon character and watch their favourite
movies together or what is really fun is if you make mini cakes and give her and
her friends icing or things to decorate the cake with - thats is alot of fun |

Give them an indoor or outdoor treasure hunt...And reward them with prizes.
Buy them, each, an inexpensive T-Shirt=--->
Could Give them shirts, hats, shoes: & then set up 'shop' to
Bead or BeDazzle or use craft glue...depending on their age...maybe a moderate
temperature heat glue gun. {GLUE comes in sparkle, bright, and clear colors,
too.}
Clay Art: Let the mini sculptures dry & be turned into magnets for quick pin-ups
to allow the child to see her accomplishments, when posting their artwork up on
a fridge.
LEGOS construction: Build your own "Fantasy Island" OR stage a ZOO
setting...have a contest where every-special-body wins for something they did
uniquely as their own idea.
Use a child's microscope [Safety Type] to view tid bits of things you feel
comfortable as the 'supervisor' in allowing them to handle. Then, have a
make-believe game, where each child compiles a list of made-up names for each
item viewed.
Take turns with each child, by giving them their "spotlight" as they stand in
front of the group by reading off their personalized make-believe names...and
let the "Good Times" roll into laughter...'guaranteed' (depending upon the
collective group gathered) to 'illuminate' the room & fill it with an atmosphere
of free-spirited bonding.
For a grand finale: Award everyone a mini stuffed animal of the popular trend,
or of each child's known favorite character or animal type...
The last idea, especially, will take some preparation in advance, so give
yourself ample time...and treat yourself, as the host/hostess, with something
that delights yourself, before expelling all your energy to run 'THE SHOW'!
These ideas worked for me, as I was a Homeschool Teacher/Tutor.
