Hey. Im an aspiring model from Ireland, I am of 5ft2" and it seems that in Ireland I cant seem to get anything any agencies seem to think im too short, even when in commertial modelling there isint any height regulations as photos can be taking to make the model in them look bigger. Is there any recommendations into how I can get into an agency that could help me out? Or is there any advice to help me in this career path?
I have sent out photos and my stats to alot of agencies and castings but still nothing so [*Link removed*] advice would be extremly appretiated!

I hate to say this ..but at 5'-1" you are out of luck ..except for the nude and porn stuff,
which I hope you don't want.
I will suggest, and this is cheating
Pull the peircings out, cut your hair cutezy and reshoot some pics making you look younger than 16. Then aim for the children devisions of the agency. You will only have a couple of years to pass yourself off as a youngen...but try it.. what do you have to lose.

Keep in mind, Cindy, Madonna is 5"4 , and she's doin all right. You can get to where you want to go, with determination, look at Napoleon.

thank you. But im not trying for runway. So my height shouldnt be a factor. I suppose its because the clothes are tailored for the taller but i also do lingere and swimwear. I do unusally have long legs for my height and they can be seen in my photos. photos for print even dont have some height restrictions as it can be down to the model and photographer to make them look taller.
Well the one limitation to me would be runway but i dont even look for that or try! I try to be realistic in my height and do things which i could do. Thanks for yout time and your reply

Also hate to say this to you but i am not going to give up just because of my height. Im only young but that doesnt mean its time already. I dont see the point of trying to look younger when i myself have tattoos which i can say will not be getting removed anytime soon, as will neither the piercings as they make me who i am.
Dont mean to be cheeky but you being a photographer should know you can add inches of height to a model in photographes which can be seen by one my lingere shots in the stripy punk [*Link removed*] to be mean but you shouldnt try crush someones hopes, let them live a little its what keeps us young ;) anyways girls dont stop growing until there 21 so iv still got years left to gain those few extra inches

I know exactly how you feel.. I'm 5'1... its hard trying to find an agency that will see your potential without the extra height.. even if you're not looking for runway. Don't give up. you're still young... stick to your determination. There needs to be girls out there that can show the world that short girls are beautiful too.

thanks although because of my age im not allowed to wear contacts and you would see me falling all over the place without my glasses to see lol.
But i can look into it, and i might introduce some shots without glasses to show variety in my portfolio

I think that was mean and untrue.

Im sure there is an agency outthere that would take her.

First you should get some better shots and try to build up your portfolio.
Your headshot is slighty blurred so a better one is needed.
You body shot is too distant and the background seems to draw your eye away from you. So try to get a background that is plain or less cluttered where you are closer to the camera.

I dont know weither thats an insult... or not..
but my modelling goes to wide ranges and none seem to want me for that either,
anyways dealing with an agency at the moment there just looking through my portfolio to see what they want to use me for. or something like that
