Hello everyone!
This is one of those things I spend a lot of time thinking about. Usually when I
am cycling along the Prince Memorial Greenway---it's long and flat so it's kinda
become my thinking zone.
When I was younger I definitely felt that money was way more
important then love. I remember telling my friends at that time that you didn't
have to be in love to have sex  and money could sure buy you a lot of
cool things. Money does bring things into your life. Nice cars, nice clothes,
nice fragrances, shoes, all those NOW accessories, furniture...etc. etc.
Everyone gets my point. I was true to my philosophy, money got me all the
luxuries that I wanted. I went to clubs and partied (LOL...majorly!) and had a
lot of errr..enjoyable sex. I didn't fall in love, I was too busy being...I
admit it now...SHALLOW. But I was very happy. So, who am I to judge my younger
self?
As I moved into my thirties and now, my forties I have fallen in love: three
times. Each one ended; sometimes by my choice and sometimes by thiers. So, now I
am alone. So, love was great while it lasted.
Once I had it:
I realized what I had been missing out on all those years. That was when
I began to grow up.
Now I have learned that I can live without all that
stuff Really, I have what I need. Now I am
looking for love. The realistic part of me knows that I prolly won't find it,
and that it is silly to pursue it. The hopeful part of me still believes though.
For now I have my homes (for which I am very grateful to my grandfather for
giving me some hard advice about not wasting ALL my money.) I live a simple
life, am generally happy and have true friends.
(LOL) All that to say...
My choice now is love. It cannot be bought or sold. It is given freely and
accepted willingly. Someone loving me is a great gift.
