From what I'm reading, I won't get booked until I have a porfolio.
How much does it cost to get a porfolio made?
Does the agency do this, or do you need to get it done by a photographer first?
Also, include anything else you may know about portfolios.

Tell me what you think here.

Thanks !
Tynesha

Well you have an online one here for free on this site:thumbup:

You'll need to contact local photographers in your area & get a shoot arranged for best results, there are plenty about that will shoot you for free but when you get booked in will depend on how busy they are with paid work at the time, then you basically build the portfolio yourself:thumbup:

You can get it put together for you but it'll cost you though, even while you get this put together keep trying to contact agents & agencies:thumbup:

I've been looking at 3 or 4 different agencies & I never called the one back. I'm not trying to get scammed. I'm already broke lol. I need to do this to get money, not get scammed out of it.

I'm still working full time, no guarantee this will happen for any of us girls but keep trying:thumbup:

same here. im trying to find a few photographers to do that for me.
i'm pretty much taking anything i can get right now haha.

Well said Lydia - my favorite models should be actors - it's capturing an emotion not just a pretty face. It's about making art.
Tynesha - this stuff isn't easy - I don't know of anybody who got into modeling to get quick money.
Do you have any idea how many possible models there are vs. and how many jobs.
As everyone said above - practice, adapt, market and sell yourself to photographers and agents.
This is a lovely dream - but you don't get something for nothing. Push yourself, sacrafice, be patient and be safe.
I know you contacted me - so I know you are working at it - but you are just to far for me to do TFCD.

i was just contacted by a photographer not too far from me, and he's willing to do tfcd so i think im gonna go with it :D

Some how i will get me done.

glad to see you found a photog - As far as a cost - as you are finding out - there is no real answer - priniting a book may cost - and make sure you bring some one with you to the shoot, safety in numbers.
Good luck and have fun

thanks everyone =]
