I think this type of celebration slightly reminds me of Kwanzaa's seven day candle lit ceremonial tradition, which is held during the end of the month of December--plus lasts 'til New Year's Day, for the beautiful African-American culture.
Perhaps now this group, too, will feel welcome because of your heartfelt post, Ashwani.:D

Devotional Tradition amongst any community or country or nation seems to help fortify bonds of unity...Which is in a sense effectually Nobel "PEACEFUL" Prize-like Winning worthy in itself.
