next step would be to build on what you have. Contact photographers in your
area, or friends who are agile with a camera, and get more diversified pictures.
These will be the initial building blocks of your portfolio. As for the model
card, typically these form a hard printed copy of your best images. These
obviously cost money, so unltil you have a budget, or suitable images, an
electronic portfolio might be a better approach.
Many upcoming photographers will be willing to shoot on a trade for time basis.
The benefit is that both you and the shooter get images to help promote
yourself.
