Given that Web Models is now closing, there is a definite hole in the market for a site with a working distance search for the UK. Adding that would definitely make Jurgita more tempting.

We are not concentrated in one market, we are a global website.
We have a search for members by location. There are models, modeling agencies and all other industry professionals from the UK. All members from this area get notices each day about new members from UK.

True there are people from all over. There are notices from people all over the UK, but that isn't really enough. Some of us are not going to spend 7 or 8 hours traveling to a model or photographer who lives quite a distance away. Being able to restrict this to county would be great and not too hard (just reference data). Similarly, for France you could have departments :)

and what about search i can't understand what search do use use :dunno:
there's an option to search model from certain city even in a quick search. for example i go to models, quick search, check for models 14 to 30 years, country UK, city Liverpool and i got 32 results:thumbup: and regular search has more options like choose for gender, ethnicity and other things. hope this helps you;)

I used the Model Search. As a basic member I can't use city search. Even if I could, then I would have to enter a whole range of cities such as Nottingham, Hull, Derby, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, etc. Then there are the towns in between! City isn't really a very useful thing to search for. County is better, but distance is ideal.

If I was just after any model then finding 32 models in Liverpool is fine. By having a more restrictive search it either takes a lot of my time to search + some lateral thinking or else I might miss some otherwise great models. It is actually the great models I am after :)

If you look at web models, I can do a search on there and it orders models by distance. The name of the town / city is not relevant, just their distance from me. That is *exceedingly* useful. It is even more useful when traveling around the country as I can just do a search for my destination and I don't need to know the distance from my destination to another hundred places.

It is about versatility, usability and functionality. Those are the things which are worth paying for :)

Even after a short membership at jurgita I have noticed that U.K models only make up a small amount of the jurgita portfolios, I too had to search many profiles, but it did not take long and already I am aware of virtually all the U.K. models currently within the age, location range I may need.

i now simply keep up to date with new members shown on the model front page to be aware of any new U.K models here and to date that has only been about one every two weeks or so!

Very true... I am now doing the same thing. I think it is a case of something which would still be a nice addition, but isn't as essential as some of the other possible improvements :)
