Seeking Critique/advice On Portfolio And Potential

Hello! I'm new here. I've been interested in modeling for a long time, but I've been a full-time student until now so I've never been able to fully pursue it as a career. I would really appreciate honest critiques of my portfolio, things I could improve, things that are good. I realize I'm quite short, and don't have "ideal" stats, so I'm trying to even that out now by workouts and a healthier (healthier than college anyway, haha) diet.

Thanks in advance for all your help! :)

~JenMari

JenMari,

Your pics are ok......need work on lighting and background use. You seem a little tense in some poses. Just relax and be natural. Try not staring. Other than that its not bad.

;)

Larry

Firstly congrats on the attitude!
Secondly you've a really pretty face , try smiling some more.
Thirdly try to get some more expressions, and poses
Forthly i like the hand gesture as it brings us to look at your face more. although when you do that try to keep the hair from covering your face as well my opinion would like to see it more :D
Also i would say then try to get some better quality shots.
Best of luck!

Ps.. dont worry about having to wait . education comes first:thumbup:
also your stats are grand! You've a curvy womany shape. Also perfect for art-nude like you want to do :D
Howdy.I'm a 18 year old half asian from Ireland who really would love to get with an agency who can get her exposure or anything please look at my profile and get back to me :D

There are women who would kill to have your lips. If you aren't concerned with fashion, there is no reason you can't have wonderful images done featuring your unique face and curvy body--of course when you are older, you might have to hide them from your kids!
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!

Everyone is right on point. With the figure and face you have, you could do really well in just about everything except high fashion. Swimwear, fitness, lingerie, art-nude, adult, all of the above....
You should look into the thread I have posted on work coming in April and get back to me.

HI hOney jEnMari... IMO, you should learn and see the best side of your face... which side do you think is the best to be shot?

Your portf seems old fashioned, which is not me. but I like the second one though.
Visit my website! It's HERE :lips:

Thanks everyone! All of my pictures are shot by myself, through self-timer mode on my camera. So, that may help explain tenseness/oversights on lighting.

However, through the site I'm working on getting some professional shots soon. :)

William, I can't seem to find the thread you're talking about, and I'd really like to hear about it!

Thanks again for all the comments, keep them coming! :D I have a lot to learn, for sure.

re: Charles Griffin-thanks for the compliment and making me laugh, I even blushed a little. :)

My wife did a little body modeling when she was in college. Her pictures were the highlight of the arts and literature magazine I worked on. We keep those record copies in our library out of the reach of the grandkids. :saint:
