You claim to be a great retoucher but from looking at the comparison pictures
you have up number one your not retouching you blending there is a
difference...but anyway leaving that aside the first one isn't too bad but the
second one is so out of proportion and bent at wrong angles its just not [*Link
removed*] legs are off and so is her neck...looks like both have been broken and
her arms are different sizes and too much so different for it to be meant to
represent prespective and depth and angle and so on....does anybody else agree
with me or am I on my own on this???
Plus I agree with Cindy photos should be natural not retouched or at least not
for portfolio pictures anyway

I do agree thats why i had said like the pics dont give me any idea into what
retouching was
and thanks Simon for agreeing

but no offence your pictures arent really that impressive they look like botched
photoshop works
My opinion.. retouching ones photo does add points in his/her portfolio. One is
for diversity and another is to capture intention. You need to look good to
catch intention of those who browse through the portfolios here. The natural
look should be part of the detail portfolio. The touching technique however,
varies.. from simple contrast enhancement, vignetting or even paint like
transfer. It's up to one's like or dislike to choose. As for Retouching Inc..
i'd love to see variety of techniques that you could offer against a similar
picture. But hey.. that's just my two cents..
I've done simple touch on Chloe's picture but not so sure if if i can attach it
here. If it's nowhere.. means it was not successful.
I notice the color of course.. and cleaner skin. The wording however, is on top
of important detail of the shot (her lips). Will it sell..? I cant tell for
now.. for i'm not a model and don't plan to be one. But i guess if it's face
shot.. cleaner and smoother skin.. sharper picture.. skin color.. are a few sale
points. As for full body shots.. vignetting would be good. Just my two cents..
No it won't sell as a portfolio picture....One big problem is you have removed
Chloe's freckles...these are part of her character and as a headshot for her
portfolio it is important not to hide features like that....Also as Adi said you
have covered part of her face with big writing which again for a portfolio
picture is a very bad idea....I think before you start trying to market yourself
as a retouching company with very little experience you need to look at what
models require for their portfolio....The number one thing about portfolio
pictures is that they shouldn't be retouched to the degree that you are
doing....with the exception of maybe removing something from the background or
adjusting the light levels the picture should be left as is....if it's not a
good quality picture then take another and leave the touching up for the
pictures that are being published into magazines.
