Hi everyone!
I am new to this and am just now starting to explore my options and possibilities in this inudustry.
My question is in regard to tattoos.
I have a LARGE one, which is the left side of my back. What is the best way to approach this as I ponder the possibilities of my new career? My tatoo can only be seen from the front and is on the left half of my back. I am not what you would classify as "traditional pretty" but want to see if I can break the mould of this inudstry tattoos and all!

Any thoughts are welcomed.

1. Accept it will reduce the number of offers of work.

2. Don't let (1) put you off :)

3. Get some arty + stylish pics which show the tattoo clearly on your profile.

4. Get some edgy streetlife pics which show the tattoo clearly on your profile.

5. Note that you have the tattoo on the text in your profile.

6. If it is only visible from a certain angle, get some pics where it isn't seen (but not covered either) on your profile and note the visibility in the text.

7. Avoid phrases like 'easily removed in photoshop' :)

That way you are being open and upfront about it, showing how it and you can be used well. Then photographers can base their choice of using you on your needs and the outfits you might wear.

The worst thing is to turn up on a shoot with the photographer not realising it is there. That will cause a lot of negativity :(

Opportunities are still there, though :)

I have a tatoo. And yes it might set you back a little bit. But is it all about your job or who you are as a person.

It's all up to you.

You can be individual or a sheep following the croud.

I think individuality is a blessing we are giving and it is the best way to express ourselves!!

Be who you are!!
