How do you prove that they did it wrong? It syour word against theirs basically and unless you could find others to say yeh they gave me a wrong cut too then you;d prob never get anywhere...unless of course you had a friend with you when you were telling them waht you wanted...sure you can sue anyone for anything now a days:upset:

We're such a sue-happy culture...sigh.

I'm sure that if you could claim you suffered "emotional distress" or something similar, like if you got your skin burnt by chemicals or your hair fell out, you certainly could sue someone. But I'd hope that if you were getting your hair done and something that serious was happening you'd speak up. So many people lack the common sense to do so...I don't understand.

It's like the woman suing McDonalds for getting burnt by hot coffee...useless lawsuits clogging up our courts. :angry:

actually theres alot of suing going around.. like.. can you sue a hospital for almost letting you die due to neglagence?
OR say.. you've a problem and your gp was meant to reffer you and never bothered their arse and your still sufferring from it?

Sueing the hospital would be a very tricky one as medical records can be twisted to say that you didn't almost die or weren't anywhere near dieing. You can however lodge a formal complaint and see what happens and decide from there but it's mega stress.

Sueing your GP for not making a refferal is another shady area. I think it would depend on what the problem is and how much it limits/affrcts your lifestyle. In your case I'd say you could do it alright

I know you didn't. didn't really think you were the type to sue somebody just because you could without their being a good reason to it.

Yeh not complaining about the almost dying was more just pissed off that I could have a feckin mini heart attack in the hospital and the nurses telling me to wait!

YEh the doc though id me more to sue mainly due to the fact shes messed up so much lol!
But that really is pure neglagence with her, like id mainly sue to get rid of her license so others dont end up in the same situations but i wouldnt want money.
I prefer to earn mine!lol

..i know a lot of people get attatched to their hair.. but if its cut wrong.. it'll grow back. if it gets colored the wrong color.. you can put new color ontop. Usually the stylist will offer to fix it free of charge.

A friend on another forum came back with a rant after visiting the hairdresser lately. She lives in Texas and apparently this has happened to her many times with different hairdressers. She asked for a specific cut, right down to how many inches were to be cut off, even took a photo of the style with her and showed it to the hairdresser. The hairdresser then began, refused to let her look in a mirror the entire time, and cut it too short with different layering system than the one she wanted. On the whole she couldnt really stop it, could she?

I know I shouldn't intrude here, but guys face the same problem. Barbers, like nurses with patients, never listen to the person in the chair. I've got a virtually shaved head because a distracted barber cut what little hair I can grow all worng--and took a whack at trimming my beard. I went home and did a close crop with a shaver--better to let it grow back from there.

Now, My mom was a hairdresser when I was a kid. She claimed that some hair couldn't be cut the way the client wanted it because it would look wrong or wouldn't hange right--whatever, she always had a reason for doing things her way.

Later, she gave it up and became a bartender. She said, "If I have to stand around and talk to old biddies all day, I might as well do it where I can drink."
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!
