Date: 2007-03-28 20:45 I suspect you'll find that very little of the advertising or editorial
photography that you see in magazines involves freelance models. Virtually all
shoots are planned, designed by art directors and use professional sources for
the photographer and models.
If you are going in the business, it would be good to be associated with an
agency. If you can't get on board with a big one, keep marketing your portfolio
to smaller agencies.
Based on your head shot and your age and height (potential), you should be able
to get some interest. On the other hand the other two pictures I see are not
that impressive to me. In the tree shot your foot is cut off--not great
composition. In the seated shot, the tilted image may seem quirky and bold, (I
saw it as a mistake) but it says much more about the photographer than it shows
about you.
I'm an old retired shooter, so you don't have to listen. But others here also
give good advice and you are too photogenic to let indistinct pictures hinder
your chances. If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try! |
