I also give acting classes and i direct... i'm looking for a job during the summer... I want to teach or direct somewhere... anywhere but in belgium. Like a work-hollyday for me. Does anybody has any idea...

Stijn hiya!
I wonder if you may have considered putting together your own workshop locally or wherever?
I have noticed that there are a lot of aspiring young people in europe that cannot access any talent/acting courses or practical training. Perhaps if you were to offer for a small fee weekly workshops it may develop for you!
Just an idea!

hi mike,
i already do that localy in belgium and in the netherlands... I've got about 3 classes of young people who want to go to acting school and i train them to get in. And it works... already 5 of my 'students' are in acting schools at the moment. And already 1 finished acting school. I just finished a play i wrote and he (that one) is gonna act in it. We are going on tour in two months...
It's just that i love to travel and i'm always looking for the combination.
But thanks for the advise!

We were on holiday in Turkey recently and were talking with a member of the Entertainment staff. You know, the people that put on shows, games and other sorts of entertainment for us lazy tourists. This woman we were speaking with said it was very easy to get such jobs, and you can apply for them on the internet.

I think that acting skills and language skills would be very important for such a job. You obviously have both. There are a TON of Dutch tourists in Turkey, so I guess your language skills could come in handy.

I suggest you start by looking on the internet for jobs for entertainers. Here is one forum I quickly found for you, though I dont know anything about them:

Just put "hotel+entertainment+Cyprus" or something similar into Google and look around.

One word of caution, you probably need to be careful that the people you are working with are reputable. I suggest to ask them for references of people they currently employ and contact them before flying off to another part of the world. Make sure that the people you speak to are truely entertainers. If it does not feel right don't go.

I should have guessed that you have already established down that route stijn!

I know of a young lady in Bulgaria who is desperate to find an opportunity to learn more of acting and get involved, but there seems to be nothing in her region for that, any ideas stijn?

The combination of doing what you love and travel sounds great! I hope the tour goes well for you!

Thanks alot for the advise... butr thats not realy wathy i'm looking for. What you suggest is more like entertainment and i'm realy looking for theatre. But realy thanks for your help.

i know nothing and nobody ik Bulgaria... so i can't help you there! She could read some books,but she has to stand on the stage and play... thats the only way to learn!
