I do believe most people can learn to sing because I've seen it happen and I've experienced it with myself. All you have to do is go out regularly to karaoke and learn how to hear yourself through the monitor speakers while you're singing. Then, you begin to hear where your voice is trailing from the music and you'll automatically start adjusting. In just three short years, I've gone from getting little or no applause to getting rave reviews by applying these basics of listening to myself. It also helps to exercise your voice and lungs on a daily basis even if you're not performing. Lung exercise is the more important of the two as that will provide muscular control and allow better sustaining of notes.
