It may seem a bit picky on my part, but the are one billion Hindus in the world. Most are Indian, but quite a few Europeans, Asians and others (Americans) have adopted or practice one of the forms of Hinduism. Could we be included among the choices in the drop-down menu rather than having to pick "other"?
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!

Excellent Suggestion, :D Charles;):thumbup::thumbup:
"Recognition is a blossoming fruit of ripe intention"=>[TV] says so;)
:thumbup::thumbup:
Whether it be :lips::lips: OR :muscle::muscle:. . ."TRUE BLUE" IS The GENE that fits ALL;)

:thumbup: Like Reform Jews leave off some of the stricter stuff, I'm a Reform Hindu.

Means I'm not a vegetarian. But like a good Advaitin, I am not only one with Brahman, I am one with the brahman cow, especially after a good steak. :saint:

In the Vedas, it says we are all food. True. It's there. Therefore we are meant to be eaten. The cow, you, me, every living thing. :D

Take a close look at the pix below. Circle of life.

Good idea.

Thanks Larry.:thumbup:

Kimberly, I'm a CSI regular watcher. The only thing is that viewers don't get the smells that go along with the gore and rotting mush, so they are missing the best (or worst) experience. :lol:

This was taken into consideration :)

Aww the poor turtle.
But yes thats true,
As the once great..mufasa from the lion king said to his young boy simba,
" AS we die, we become the grass, and the antalope eat the grass, we are all connected in the circle of life"
Well something like tha tanyways lol!
soooo gonna end up watching that dvd now.. lol

What i dont get is why.. its like illegal to eat other people then..
(well i do but i more mean..)
Like if we are allowed to eat another animal..
Which we are all connected from..
{which the study of evolution shows}[mainly the comparative anatomy, biochemisty]
then.. why isint that allowed?
We all hurt, we all bleed?
We all cry
Howdy.I'm a 18 year old half asian from Ireland who really would love to get with an agency who can get her exposure or anything please look at my profile and get back to me :D

Americans don't eat horse as a matter of course
Belgians and Japanese serve cheval as a main course

Each of us has some ancestor who ate the flesh of enemies
Which tastes pretty much like pork but can carry disease
From hand to mouth and by blast of gas out the south

Enough of that rhyming!

Like many prohibitions, it's partly religious and partly a health thing. There actually isn't much difference between humans and hogs, which is why some pig parts can be used for medical purposes in humans. And diseases of the swine can be transmitted to man through contact and consumption, which is possibly why the Jews and Moslems prohibit eating pork--besides God saying so.

So all that is also true of "long pig" as central African cannibals used to call the meat in their pots when colonial police came around to show force and demand hospitality. Many a European probably shared meat of dubious origin that did them no harm, so long as it was sufficiently cooked.

I've probably been served dog, cat and rat here and there. And all primitive societies have some form of cannibalism, so we can interpolate that our ancestors also did the same in primitive times. Lastly, the great mystery of transubstantiation, the communion celebrated in Christianity is ritual cannibalism.

So, I have no problem with that--I eat meat, too.:saint:
