don't have what they're looking for. i'm 5'7, a size 34 and photogenic enough
.... i guess the real reason would be cos i'm black. I don't know wat i can do
to show them i'm a beta model if they refuse to see past the tone of my skin. |

but in my opinion its more because of your height (170) and your age (20).
The height matters for most European fashion agencies, only glamour agencies
doesn't care about the height a lot. Of course there are good models at this
height also, but its very very very tough to present yourself. you need to have
very strong portfolio and experience in order to get to the agencies at this
height.
the Age matters only if you are a new model, models at 20 are considered old
models already and they need to have a strong book to follow their carrier. For
starting model its very very hard to do that, but its possible, if somebody
wants that a lot. |

to a womens look maturing faster then males. They seem to like younger fresh
faces. I dont think its because your black, also a strong portfolio is key for
older models |

and i am only 170cm..(tj.168-but my agency always write me more on my

belgium and most agencies/clients aren't looking for that right now. they aren't
ready for that. but it's ok, paris and england are a safe bet, so i'm thinkin of
packin up and goin there. it ain't on be easy... but it's a start. |

belgium and she isn't black so to tell you the truth she doesn't know anything
about the experiences i have been true being black and tryna make it in the
modelling world!i'm not sayin doesn't know anything, but she isn't in ma shoes
and to tell you the truth neither are you, so please don't come here accsuing

because i am taking the modeling bizz very seriously, and don't worry peeps i hv

| Date: 2007-02-27 10:40 I agree, the modeling agencies in Belgium do seem to be very picky, but I guess
that attests to the fact that the European Industry has always been more
difficult to get into. They've been around longer and there are probably a lot
more people that they have to choose from, and even more that they have to turn
away.
Personally I'd look at it as a challenge and a goal, and when an agency does
finally agree to represent you, throw a HUGE party . |
