Is this a good picture or not? I really want to know your opinions? Do you think that I have potential as a photoprapher in stead of a model? or both? ahah...well, anywho...yea just post your thoughts of this piece...I call it "On The Move"...I took it in a car moveing on a highway on the way home from the hospital where my father was staying. (because he had a heart attack, and we were visiting him)

i like it... especially because the sign appaers a little bit like a questionmark ...

Not really.
:lips: Love

For being taken from a moving car yes it is a good picture. Taking pictures from a fast moving car though is not always a good idea. Try putting up one or two that have been taken while your standing still and people will be able to give you a better opinion

Not bad......but not real good either.

;)

i think its a matter of taste... i realy like it

Taking pictures while in a moving vehicle is difficult. Taking photos while your the one driving is even more challenging :)

I'm personally not a fan of the photo, but I also don't think it's bad.
Do you have potential as a photographer. Sure! Some subjects you will be better at then others, so just experiment.

I've gotten the chance to take photos while on the Shinkansen (bullet train in Japan).
Now that is fast!

Photography, as with any other form of art, is largely a matter of opinion. There is always going to be someone who doesn't like your work, and that's just fine.
Everything I've done, and all that I have yet to do, is only to forget the meaning of your name.

''I took it in a car moveing....''
with that....i think it's nice n i like it :) n yup u do have the potential to be a photographer...good luck :)

nothing really special

um, ok...thanx...

It's kind of a cool pic, I like it

i like the pic coz it is both clear and blurry. capturing both dat is good for me. not so many people can take a pic as good as dat

i like it, tweak the levels a bit so you can get some nice crisp contrast :).

I don't want contrast, the pont of me liking the picture is because of the way it is, I'm sorri if I offend anyone, but yea...

bailey, i doubt you have offended anyone with your sincere question and opinion--hang loose dear canadienne. in my view, your image has an impact--but unless deliberately calculated to appear the way it looks, it is not an acomplished photograph. but who can say that a photo's impact--even if it is accidental--is not a good quality of that image? i like it, and i am sure stijn too knows exactly why he likes it. from this image, i get the sense of a narrative fragment--as if it is part of a story that the photographer refuses to divulge fully. i see that as a good quality of some images. the blurred street sign, the clear focus on the distant scene, and the varying shades of grey in the clouds, all add up to create a sense of change, uncertainty, and a certain sadness. after all you WERE travelling. it is possible i am reading too much into the image--but remember that i am not saying your image is ABOUT these things and feelings. i am merely saying that it allows for such ideas and feelings to take shape in some viewrers' minds.
finally, you may want to study the technical conditions that allowed the image to emerge the way it did--the film speed, aperture opening, exposure time, any light or colour compensation you might have made, any use of filter, the value of a noticeable foreground object, and the creation of perspective and depth-of-field. all these, as you may already know, are related in various ways, and can be controlled by you.
let me know if you are coming to edmonton in the near future--i will be happy to have chat with you. also, drop me a note, if you are available for a coffee when i am next in the nation's capital.
sorry for such a long post, but hope it was of some use to you. cheers.

thanx Sam, you are very sincere...:saint:

I like the photo. . as Sam said it really makes your imagination wander in thinking the purpose of why you took the photo. I love how the sign is blurred yet the trees and background are the focus. For me it shows the true beauty of nature and how it has been overcome by the human condition .. as demonstrated by the street sign.
