I read that you need 200 activity points to make a dollar, i was wondering if the site owner couldn't decrease the amount of activity points needed?

I think decreasing the amount would be a shame... what would be better would be increasing it for certain activities. Such as loging on each day (to encourage checking messages each day) sending the first message (to reward contacting new people) for posting articles (as of greater use).

More for starting a non-spam thread on the forum, but perhaps subtract points for SPAM :)

Why should anyone do that?????

If you need more credits, just buy them... they aren't too expensive :)

If you don't need them wait until your activity points reach 200. If you contribute regularly and positively then it won't take forever and you won't annoy whilst acruing points.

i guess the activity points are to encourage pple to participate in the site. its a good idea. it has helped me to participate better

Exactly, it encourages participation rather than lurking. It could be more refined, but I do like the idea :)

I think 200 points isint too much iv recieved a few credits already from participating to recieve them.
I think its great though it really made me apart of this site and helped me to contribute to it

I've been posting for over 2 months and have yet to reach 200 points. Then again, I'm not posting as much has when I first joined the forum.

HAHA well what can i say, I love Jurgita. com! Its really helped me out so i wana help others out and participate well!

I love it when a person talks about a site they are using for free, which has to pay hosting costs and a myriad of other expenses, and wanting that site to give them even more for free. Especially a site designed to help those very same people earn some money.

As far as I can determine, the site obtains cash flow in two obvious ways...one is by paid subscription and the other is by hosting advertising. We do not even know if the site is making a profit or just a labor of love.

Points are a reward system for activity. It is an ingenious concept that encourages participation in the site, which gives people exposure, and also helps insure that a wide variety of pages are viewed. This wide viewing also helps increase the chances of click through on advertisements which helps pay Jurgita which helps keep this site running which helps keep members' employed, etc., etc. etc.

I believe the point system is fine as it is.
