Does skin color matter with modeling? I think it depends. It depends on the client or photographer. It doesn't matter to me. I do think there are certain lines of clothing that you would want certain color models for. For white clothing I would tend to steer clear of darker skinned models. That would be the only thing I could think of where skin color matters and that is skin color not race.

Yeah I think you're right.
Although I think that all races of people can get into modelling, when it comes to the client, it does matter.
E.g. in rap videos, darker skinned models seem to be used, to model blonde hair colouring the client would use a lighter skinned model....

For me skin colour matters a lot. It is all part of painting the final picture. Similarly eye and hair colour.

I'd also go so far as to say that the differences and having to respond to them to find the best results is part of what I love about photography.

I really don't think skin colour matter in modelling. But sometimes the client might prefer using a particular colour of skin for a particular product or advert.

Anyway, we are all speculating, who knows it might probably matter
