Did you know that

unless you have very sensitive skin, waxing is a quick and relatively easy alternative to plucking your eyebrows.

wowowowo. i dread plucking my eyebrows. i much prefer using a razor blade to do the job. lol

 A razor blade? Mercy that's not good hun! The hairs would grow back funny wouldn't they?:dunno::endecided:

Whatever you do folks, don't ever use hair removal cream [like Immac/Veet] on your eyebrows [unless it's specifically for the face]. Friend of mine used to have very thick eyebrows at the age of 12 but her mum wouldn't let her go to a beautician or touch them at all. One day while at a friend's house her friend had the bright idea of Immacing her eyebrows off.
It worked all right - they covered the whole eyebrow on both sides and all the hair came off, and it's never grown back properly since then. She gets them tattooed semi-permanently every 5 years.

Gimme tweezers or gimme death  ok, I might settle for an appointment at the local beauty salon lol.

well Marie doing it with a new and sharp razorblade works for me. i actually do it by myself and it doesnt hurt. abt the shape well the shape always comeout great

i know i cant use wax, too painful. but i wont use a shaving cream either. i think a blade or a tweezer will do. depends on which one comes my way.
:lips:sexy:lips:

Actually Marie some beautitions use razors,:dunno: why though i know my moms friends daughter gets them done in a salon and they shave it

Waxing can be easier but you still have to pluck, liek you can get it waxed once and then pluck every day for the new developling hairs, its quicker then and cheaper.

And its not easy unless you have someone who is well experienced in waxing eyebrows.
Waxing can cause problems cause they say it takes much longer for the hair to grow back
Howdy.I'm a 18 year old half asian from Ireland who really would love to get with an agency who can get her exposure or anything please look at my profile and get back to me :D

Wow, I had no idea beauticians use razors for that :endecided:

Mercy I didn't mean that it would hurt, or that the shape wouldn't come out well [but if I did that I'd probably shave half my eyebrow off, so  to your hand co-ordination]. I use a razor for my legs and my underarms, the hairs always grow back thicker and sometimes more than one [ ugh!], and they many don't grow back in the same direction, so I figured it would be the same with eyebrows.

Cind, I prefer tweezing, I'd hate to risk a mistake with waxing, and I can do it in my own time and however I want. [Hair does take longer to grow back after waxing, grows thinner too.. well,it does on my legs anyway :D]

i really fear tweezing. i have never done it but i dreaded it coz i figure its very painful

okay am writing this article about eyebrows and i need help and ideas about the subject. mostly the waxing bit

mercy i'm sure people will be willing to help:)

Mercy, I've been tweezing for 6 years, I don't have any problems with it. It does hurt a bit, but it's easy to get used to. I find that half the time I'll be too busy concentrating to notice pain or discomfort. I do have to say though that it hurts more when someone else does it for you :dunno: I've never understood why, but when anyone else does anything that hurts or is uncomfortable to me, it hurts that much more than when I do it. Like brushing/combing my hair, tweezing, and waxing.

Regarding your article, I can say that with the waxing bit there's always the problem of waxing off too much/little, or not getting both eyebrows symetrical. And of course if there are any hairs left over you have to tweeze them, but obviously it's faster than just tweezing. It might be easier but you'd have to check with someone who waxes their eyebrows. :dunno:

i feel tweezers are meant for pros. the reason why i think it is more painful when someone else plucks out your eyebrows is because the person might pluck out more than one strand at a time. secondly, you can stand pain better when it is from you than when someone else causes the pain.:)
:lips:sexy:lips:

Waxing is so much better than plucking :) oddly i find it quite soothing lol
Laughters the best medicine! Keep on smiling! :)

:dunno: I don't mind waxing or tweezing. It all depends on where in the world I am, how much time I have available, etc.. But I have to be honest, the tweezers are the easiest for me. The only problem I have is that I get in a hurry and don't watch the shape!!

waxing is so much faster and less painful (well for me it's not painful at all)
