Shana Zadrick

Half German and English, Zadrick's looks were perfect for the Guess? "Arizona" campaign. The campaign was loosely based on The Professionals, the western film of the 1960's. Zadrick was only 20 years old when the campaign was shot in 1991.
This 5'9 " dark-haired beauty was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado. Although she is undeniably beautiful, she had some difficulty establishing a niche, even after the popularity of the campaigns that she appeared in. She received help from photographer Steven Miesel, as did Linda Evangelista.
Zadrick's role in the campaign can be attributed to her mysterious, exotic looks. "Shana has the mysterious sensuality of Raquel Welch in her twenties," says Marciano. Appropriately so, since Shana is beautifully captured in this modern setting tinged with the look of the 60's.
Apart from the Guess? campaign, Zadrick also appeared in ads for Calvin Klein's perfume Escape, Kors and Alberta Ferreti, and in a fashion spread in Cosmopolitan. Apart from advertising, Shana appeared in John Cougar Mellencamp's video "Wild Night", the video accompanying the 1994 single from his album Dance Naked. She seemed to be following in the footsteps of Helena Christensen, who was the object of Chris Isaac's attention in his 1991 video, "Wicked Game".
Zadrick lives on a horse ranch in Florida with her husband and several pets, including a tiger. Shana enjoys shooting skeet and riding horses. It seems Marciano wasn't far off by casting her in a Western setting for "Arizona."
