My name is Anna Beben. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, most of my childhood was spent taking various lessons in dancing, figure skating, playing the piano, and playing tennis. Every summer my parents took me to the Black sea for 3 months, to "warm up for the winter", as my mother called it. Mind you, the comment was somewhat appropriate as Russian winters tend to get frosty.
As a child I got to travel to Finland, Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece. I moved to Canada at the age of 12, and most of my time was spent at school and with friends. I enjoyed more dancing, figure skating, piano and tennis lessons. I also participated in a school choir and plays. I have learned how to ride a horse, and to wall-climb. At school I got interested in sciences and by the time I needed to graduate, I was a part-time mathematics and physics tutor, also a skating and tennis instructor.
I enjoy tennis, figure skating, swimming, and horseback riding in my leisure time. I am also a full-time student at Carleton University attending 3rd year of Biochemistry program.
