Canadian Female model Nadia Gerassimenko from Montreal, Canada
I got acquainted with modeling when I was twelve years old. My mother found a tempting advertisement in a Russian magazine and we thought I should try it out for fun. I modeled for approximately a year for a photographer who is also our good friend, Daniel Sweeney. It has been a wonderful and enlightening experience. In the beginning, I felt rather tense and unsure about it and about myself. But before I knew it, I began to rather like it. Through this experience, I've gained confidence and skill (as in how to pose, what facial expression to disclose), but most importantly it was pleasurable and inspirational.
I do not want to be a professional model, because I do not want to interrupt my studies in Business, a path that is very significant for me. However, for me it's an enjoyable experience that I can commit to for several hours a day and perhaps even a few days if necessary as a part-time job. For me, it's a form of expression, a form of contentment that I'm always more than happy to do.
