I was born in Guatemala, 1974, My passion for photography was discovered when I first saw a Minolta 35mm SLR camera my father brought from USA when I was eleven, at that time the biggest local newspaper used to publish a column about photography every sunday, it was through that newspaper column that I first heard the words "shutter speed", "aperture", "ISO" and all of the jargon asociated to photography.
Since then I have always loved taking photographs of things that I like, but it never crossed my mind that this could be a way of life until a couple of years ago.
I got hold of a Nikon DSLR the nikon D70, What a fantastic surprise! Now I could go out in any normal day and take fifty, one hundred or a thousand pictures.
I didn't have to worry about expensive processing of films or stop myself from taking a photograph even if I wasn't sure about the light conditions or anything else for that matter, but I felt that there was something else missing; as an aficionado of photography I used to, and still buy photography magazines, books and all the associated reading material, but I realized that many people who consider themselves professional photographers seem like they have stopped taking photographs for the simple pleasure of doing so and have become too obsesive about the technicalities of photography.
I want to give a fresh approach to my work with no ties or boundaries, all of my pictures have been taken with love and if one of them makes you “develop” a feeling my intention will be fulfilled.
