ELECTRIC ORANGE LIPSTICK! This is how Canadian-born Maggie Kerr first discovered her love of cosmetics and fashion. It was thirty minutes before the start of high school and time to answer a very important question: “How am I going to impress myself upon my fellow students? I don’t want to be ordinary; should I bring a loud speaker and run for student body president? Should I pass out cigarettes and pretend to be a punk? Should I run through the halls naked in search of instant popularity? What am I Going To Do???” Quickly realising that it was Catholic school, politics, cigarettes and nudity would have to wait. Maggie took a risk- she reached into her mother’s purse and grabbed the bright, creamy lipstick. With a huge grin, she walked into high school and made her impression.
Since that fateful day in high school, Maggie has been fine tuning her eye for beauty, creating a penchant for gorgeous skin and colour which has led her to work in Los Angeles, Montreal, New York City, and San Francisco. For the past 5 years, she has worked in print, film, and television.
She has contributed to 7x7, LaGMagazine.com, Se7enMag.com, and ZooZoom.com, as well as worked for KTSF, Tele Mundo, and The Fine Living Network.
In addition, Maggie is the beauty editor to StyleIndustry.com, has made an appearance on “The Mixx” (WB20), and has been a guest lecturer on make-up artistry at the Kingston School of Esthetics.
Currently she is studying fine arts, including painting and sculpting.
In her spare time she likes to hang out with her best friend- her husband, cook, take road trips, hike, read, volunteer for Look Good Feel Better, and continue to be inspired by the many people around her.
Maggie presently resides in San Francisco.
